Position Summary

Salo Manufacturing is seeking a highly organized and dependable Office Administrator to support daily plant operations and assist the General Manager. This is a key administrative role responsible for HR coordination, safety reporting, quality documentation, logistics support, and general office operations.

The Office Administrator ensures smooth communication, accurate recordkeeping, and efficient administrative processes across the facility.

Primary ResponsibilitiesHR Support

  • Review timecards and labor reports for accuracy.
  • Maintain attendance tracking and time-off balances.
  • Support employee recognition activities and new hire onboarding.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Conduct safety inspections and document findings.
  • Track accidents, near misses, emissions, and workers’ compensation reporting.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, support training activities, and manage SDS documentation.

Quality & Warranty

  • Manage work orders and update quality-related tracking tools.
  • Support communication between production and warranty/quality teams.

General Office Administration

  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and maintain professionalism as the first point of contact.
  • Manage petty cash, office supply inventory, and administrative purchasing.
  • Support shipping/logistics tracking and cost-savings documentation.
  • Assist the General Manager with scheduling, reporting, and special projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational ability with the capacity to multitask and prioritize.
  • Customer-focused mindset with respect for upstream and downstream workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • ERP system administration or experience working in ERP platforms.
