Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for facilitating efforts to improve and standardize business processes, identify and implement best practices, and establish performance metrics on the shop floor.

This role works closely with both production and administrative employees to drive efficiency, quality, and employee engagement by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI). The Continuous Improvement Manager serves as a change agent, promoting a culture of problem-solving, collaboration, and accountability throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Champion, mentor, and facilitate continuous improvement and standardization processes.
  • Communicate and support the company’s strategic vision and annual objectives, ensuring ongoing alignment and accountability.
  • Integrate leadership skills with Lean Manufacturing principles to guide and train employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain standards for operator training, process parameters, supplies, equipment conditions, task performance, and product quality.
  • Partner with employees and managers to identify and implement best practices for each process or operation.
  • Conduct and coordinate employee training to ensure sustained knowledge and adherence to standard work.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in processes, materials, and practices.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and promote a culture of continuous improvement through teamwork and disciplined execution.
  • Audit processes and operations to ensure compliance with standard work and CI practices.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production, equipment, and system challenges.
  • Assist in revising and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Benchmark ABG performance and practices against other internal and external leaders in manufacturing.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence change across multiple functions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and coach others on Lean and CI principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and other standard business applications.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
