Position Overview

MAAX is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining production plans by using sales forecasts to balance inventory levels with order fulfillment targets. The Production Planner will collaborate across sales, customer service, demand planning, supply chain, and operations to ensure production schedules are achievable, efficient, and aligned with customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Determine production plans required to meet customer demand based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure plant constraints (people, machines, products) are accurately reflected in the plan.
• Perform capacity analysis and coordinate resources with production leadership.
• Analyze production specifications and plant capacity to determine tool and labor needs.
• Complete and track production progress reports, WIP, and raw material availability to ensure schedules are met.
• Monitor material flow, adjust priorities, and communicate delivery dates to customer care, shipping, and sales.
• Recommend labor adjustments (overtime, hiring, layoffs) to meet production goals.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels through accurate analysis and SAP data maintenance.
• Perform strategic analysis to improve flow and customer satisfaction using lean methodology.
• Order and schedule shipments of bathware from China.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, production planning, or production management.
• APICS/CPIM certification a plus.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Knowledge of forecasting, planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
• Understanding of SAP master data for forecasting, planning, and shipping processes.
• Strong math and statistical analysis skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
