Position Summary

The Second Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing production operations during assigned shifts to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement goals are met.

This position will initially train on day shift to learn processes, systems, and team dynamics before transitioning to second shift. Flexibility is required, as business needs may require this role to support alternate schedules, including potential weekend day shifts.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, bilingual (English/Spanish), and experienced in leading teams in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production team members to meet daily production goals
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and OSHA standards
• Monitor quality standards and address defects or process issues in real time
• Drive accountability for attendance, performance, and workplace conduct
• Coach and develop team members through regular feedback and performance discussions
• Coordinate staffing and adjust workflow based on production demands
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to resolve operational challenges
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Promote a positive and engaged team culture aligned with company values

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required to effectively communicate safety expectations, training, production goals, and performance feedback to a diverse production workforce.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to manage performance, conflict resolution, and employee engagement
• Knowledge of safety standards and production metrics (OEE, scrap, throughput, etc.)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, production systems)

Schedule & Flexibility

• Initial training will occur on day shift.
• Role will transition to second shift upon completion of training.
• Must be flexible to support operational needs, including possible weekend day shift coverage.
• Overtime may be required based on production demands.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk production floor for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
