Job Description

The Strategic Product Operations Lead drives the execution and lifecycle management of new and existing products across the organization. This role partners closely with overseas manufacturing partners, internal cross-functional teams, and leadership to ensure seamless coordination from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.

This position serves as the central point of accountability for product readiness, supplier alignment, system setup, and execution of key business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle Ownership

  • Oversee execution of new and existing products from concept through launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Develop and manage cross-functional timelines, ensuring alignment between sourcing, design, operations, and sales.
  • Identify risks early and drive resolution to maintain launch readiness and business objectives.
  • Coordinate product transitions, updates, and discontinuations to ensure minimal disruption.

Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional product initiatives, ensuring clear milestones, accountability, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between departments including product development, supply chain, finance, and marketing.
  • Provide visibility to leadership on progress, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Drive alignment between business strategy and operational execution.

Supplier & Overseas Manufacturing Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison with overseas factories to align on product specifications, timelines, quality standards, and capacity.
  • Coordinate samples, approvals, production schedules, and change management processes.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Cost Strategy & Commercial Alignment

  • Partner with suppliers to achieve cost targets while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Analyze quotes, cost structures, and market trends to support pricing and margin objectives.
  • Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives across product categories.

Product Data & System Readiness

  • Oversee setup and maintenance of product data within ERP systems, including BOMs, SKUs, costing, and supplier information.
  • Ensure data accuracy to support forecasting, production planning, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain documentation related to sourcing, compliance, and product specifications.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Track key performance indicators including launch timelines, cost performance, supplier metrics, and operational readiness.
  • Prepare executive-level updates on initiative status and product performance.
  • Analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement in sourcing, lifecycle management, and execution efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product operations, sourcing, supply chain, or product lifecycle coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers (Asia preferred).
  • ERP system proficiency (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to drive alignment and execution across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
