About the Role
Bootz Industries is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Evansville, IN. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and proper approvals
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies quickly
- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals
- Communicate with vendors regarding payments, issues, and account status
- Partner with internal teams to ensure proper expense coding and approvals
- Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and reporting as needed
What We’re Looking For in an Accounts Payable Candidate
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 2–3 years of accounts payable or relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of AP processes and basic accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach with vendors and teams
- Manufacturing or construction industry experience is a plus
