About the Role

Bootz Industries is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Evansville, IN. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and proper approvals
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies quickly
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals
• Communicate with vendors regarding payments, issues, and account status
• Partner with internal teams to ensure proper expense coding and approvals
• Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and reporting as needed

What We’re Looking For in an Accounts Payable Candidate

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• 2–3 years of accounts payable or relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes and basic accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach with vendors and teams
• Manufacturing or construction industry experience is a plus
