We’re looking for a Quality Engineer (Tooling) who can uphold these values while ensuring our products consistently meet or exceed internal and customer expectations.
About the Role
The Quality Engineer (Tooling) is responsible for ensuring tooling and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards. This role partners closely with design, production, and suppliers to integrate quality into every stage of the workflow. By driving root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with ISO 9001, this role is critical in maintaining high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into design and production workflows.
- Analyze production data, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead root cause analyses for non-conformance issues and ensure effective solutions are implemented.
- Conduct internal quality audits and support compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Monitor key quality metrics and present findings to leadership.
- Provide training on quality tools, methods, and best practices.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials, conduct supplier audits, and manage corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving methods.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 2+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or tooling.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical process control, FMEA, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma methods.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards; CQE or Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools; ERP experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
