Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations at our Lancaster, TX facility. The Production Manager is responsible for meeting production goals, ensuring safety and quality, optimizing workflows, and developing a high-performing team. This is a key leadership position that directly impacts plant output, efficiency, and employee engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities; monitor workflow, staffing, and schedules to meet on-time delivery and output goals.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase throughput, and improve consistency.
- Lead, coach, and mentor production employees; conduct evaluations, set expectations, and address performance gaps.
- Maintain a strong safety culture through training, inspections, and proactive prevention efforts.
- Track, analyze, and report KPIs (output, efficiency, downtime, scrap).
- Oversee proper use and care of equipment; partner with maintenance to resolve equipment issues.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential failures, and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to strengthen operations.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret production data and take action.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with manufacturing systems or ERP tools.
- Understanding of machinery operation, safety practices, and basic preventative maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) strongly preferred.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing or supervisory leadership.
- Experience in bathware, plumbing, or building materials manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods inside a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working around production equipment, materials, and varying temperatures.
