A well-established North American manufacturer in the building products and manufacturing sector is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations within a high-volume manufacturing facility.

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production operations and ensuring manufacturing objectives are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
This role manages frontline production teams, coordinates workflow and staffing, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives in fast-paced production environments and has a strong track record of improving team performance, reducing inefficiencies, and delivering measurable operational results.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership
- Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficient workflow and on-time product delivery.
- Monitor staffing levels, production schedules, and workflow to support operational goals.
- Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and production requirements.
Operational Performance
- Track, analyze, and report key production metrics including:
- Output
- Efficiency
- Downtime
- Scrap and rework
- Identify opportunities to improve production throughput and reduce waste.
- Implement improvements aligned with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, train, and mentor production employees to strengthen workforce capability and engagement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve employee development.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational discipline.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure safe operating procedures are followed.
- Lead safety meetings and conduct routine production floor inspections.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and operational standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve operational performance.
- Ensure proper use and care of production equipment.
- Report equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and support production continuity.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of production equipment operation and basic preventative maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced production settings.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or Business preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Experience leading continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing initiatives preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing and walking on the production floor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
