About the Accounts Payable Specialist Role

Bootz Industries, a division of American Bath Group, is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Evansville, IN. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely vendor payments, and supporting overall accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and proper approvals
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, and wire transfers)
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payments and account status
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper expense coding and approvals
• Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and financial reporting

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• 2–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies
• Excellent communication skills with a professional approach
• Manufacturing or construction industry experience is a plus
