Production Associate

Job Summary

As a Production Associate, you will support the fiberglass bathtub manufacturing process through a variety of production functions including mold preparation, fiberglass application, trimming, finishing, demolding, and quality inspection.

This role is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, assembly, construction, warehouse, or industrial experience who thrive in fast-paced production environments and enjoy physical, hands-on work.

Key Responsibilities

General Production Duties

  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production workspace
  • Meet daily production goals and quality standards
  • Record production counts, defects, and downtime as required
  • Support team members and assist in multiple production areas
  • Participate in training and cross-functional production support

Manufacturing FunctionsMold Preparation & Coating

  • Prepare molds for fiberglass production
  • Apply mold release agents and protective coatings
  • Operate and maintain gel coat spray equipment
  • Inspect molds and coatings for quality issues such as drips, uneven surfaces, or air pockets

Fiberglass Application & Reinforcement

  • Operate chop guns and fiberglass spray equipment
  • Apply fiberglass and resin materials to molds
  • Position reinforcement materials and support boards
  • Roll fiberglass layers to eliminate air pockets and improve product strength

Finishing & Trimming

  • Trim fiberglass bath products using saws, grinders, and hand tools
  • Inspect finished components for quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain production tools and report maintenance concerns

Demolding & Product Handling

  • Safely remove finished bathware products from molds
  • Move products to staging or storage areas
  • Inspect completed units for cracks, defects, or imperfections

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable performing repetitive production tasks
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and equipment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Willingness to cross-train across departments

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Fiberglass production experience
  • Assembly line or industrial production background
  • Experience operating machinery or power tools

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fiberglass materials, dust, adhesives, and industrial equipment
  • PPE provided and required
