The Opportunity

Praxis is seeking a Utility Lead to support operations within our Mold Shop at our Hamilton, Alabama manufacturing facility.

This role serves as a key support partner to the Mold Shop Supervisor, helping maintain accurate production reporting, manufacturing data analysis, ERP system reporting, operational communication, and day-to-day production coordination. The position combines administrative support, manufacturing operations support, production reporting, shop floor coordination, and leadership assistance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in manufacturing, production support, operations coordination, ERP systems, Excel reporting, or supervisory support who enjoys working with data, solving problems, improving processes, and contributing to the success of a production team.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

What You'll Do

  • Maintain accurate production reports and operational reporting using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Enter, review, and analyze manufacturing and production data for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor operational metrics and identify issues requiring action or escalation
  • Assist with production coordination and daily manufacturing support activities
  • Participate in mold shop meetings and operational planning discussions
  • Communicate production information, reporting results, and recommendations to supervisors and stakeholders
  • Support the Mold Shop Supervisor with daily operational and manufacturing responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory coverage and production support when the supervisor is unavailable
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, workflow efficiency, and manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with production employees, supervisors, and plant leadership to support operational goals
  • Utilize Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools to support manufacturing decision-making
  • Help maintain communication between production teams and leadership regarding operational priorities

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6–12 months, you will:

  • Become a trusted operational support resource for the Mold Shop and manufacturing leadership team
  • Consistently deliver accurate, timely, and actionable production reporting
  • Develop strong proficiency in ERP systems, Excel reporting, and manufacturing data analysis
  • Support daily production and operational decisions through accurate reporting and communication
  • Build effective working relationships with production employees, supervisors, and plant leadership
  • Successfully assist with supervisory and manufacturing support responsibilities when needed
  • Contribute recommendations that improve production efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational workflows
  • Help maintain operational continuity and support manufacturing performance objectives

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present operational data, production metrics, and reporting information clearly and professionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Experience using ERP systems or similar manufacturing software platforms
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in production reporting and data entry
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changing manufacturing demands
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make practical, data-driven recommendations

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing, production, industrial, or plant operations experience
  • Experience supporting operations, scheduling, production reporting, manufacturing coordination, or supervisory functions
  • Exposure to ERP reporting, production planning, or operational analysis
  • Experience supporting manufacturing leadership or production supervisors
  • Background in production support, manufacturing administration, operations coordination, or process improvement initiatives
