About the Opportunity

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a high-volume production facility in the Martinsburg, WV area.

This is a hands-on HR role responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration support, and day-to-day HR operations. The successful candidate will serve as a visible HR presence throughout the facility, partnering with leaders and employees to support workforce needs while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead recruiting efforts for hourly manufacturing positions
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding activities for new employees
  • Support employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
  • Assist with payroll administration and HR record maintenance
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to support workforce planning and staffing needs
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee information, compensation, and personnel matters
  • Serve as a visible and approachable HR resource throughout the facility
  • Conduct regular plant-floor engagement with employees and supervisors
  • Assist with employee communications, retention efforts, and workforce support initiatives
  • Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment practices

What Success Looks Like

In the first 6–12 months, the successful candidate will:

  • Improve recruiting and onboarding responsiveness
  • Help reduce hiring lead times and onboarding delays
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified manufacturing candidates
  • Build trust and credibility with employees and supervisors
  • Support workforce growth initiatives and staffing ramps
  • Deliver accurate and timely HR and payroll support
  • Serve as a reliable resource for employee relations and HR guidance

This is not a desk-only HR role. The ideal candidate enjoys being present in the operation, building relationships, and supporting employees where the work happens.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of HR Generalist and/or recruiting experience
  • Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding activities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or plant-based HR experience
  • High-volume recruiting experience
  • Payroll administration exposure
  • Employee relations and performance management experience
  • Bilingual communication skills
