Position Summary

IMI is seeking a dependable, hands-on Skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Woodstock, Georgia. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

The ideal candidate has well-rounded industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues while also completing planned preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and complete timely, effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they result in breakdowns.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance work accurately and on time.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects.
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, and general facility repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, parts usage, and repair documentation.
  • Communicate equipment concerns, repair status, and follow-up needs to production and plant leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least three years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and determine the root cause of failures.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent repairs, and collaborate effectively with production employees and leadership.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts when needed to support operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience with motors, motor controls, sensors, relays, and variable-frequency drives.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs or computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, kneel, and work in confined or elevated areas.
  • Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
