MrSteam is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Production Assembler / Manufacturing Production Worker to join its factory operations team in Long Island City, Queens.

This hands-on manufacturing position supports the assembly, inspection, packaging, and movement of MrSteam products. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with hand tools, following detailed instructions, completing repetitive production tasks, and maintaining consistent quality throughout the shift.

This position is well suited for someone with manufacturing, assembly, production, packaging, appliance, electromechanical, or related experience. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn production tools and processes are also encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

• Assemble components and products according to approved work instructions, production orders, visual aids, and supervisor direction.
• Package completed products using the correct materials, labels, manuals, hardware, and protective packaging.
• Verify part numbers, models, finishes, quantities, labels, and components before beginning production work.
• Safely use hand tools, powered assembly tools, production fixtures, and other equipment after receiving required training.
• Perform basic visual inspections and in-process quality checks for missing components, incorrect fit, finish damage, loose hardware, labeling errors, and other defects.
• Stop work and notify the appropriate supervisor or Quality representative when materials or completed products do not meet requirements.
• Separate and identify nonconforming or damaged materials according to established procedures.
• Support production-line flow by moving between assigned workstations and assisting with assembly, inspection, packaging, material replenishment, cleaning, and other production activities.
• Complete production counts, barcode scans, label printing, test-result entries, or other basic computer transactions as assigned.
• Protect finished and decorative product surfaces from scratches, dents, fingerprints, contamination, and handling damage.
• Maintain an organized workstation and follow housekeeping, line-clearance, tool-control, and Good Manufacturing Practice expectations.
• Follow all safety procedures, equipment rules, required personal protective equipment requirements, and supervisor instructions.
• Communicate material shortages, equipment problems, repeated defects, safety concerns, and production issues promptly.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality in support of daily production requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Mechanical aptitude or experience safely using common hand tools and powered tools.
• Ability to follow written, visual, and verbal work instructions.
• Ability to identify basic part numbers, labels, model differences, symbols, and product requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete repetitive assembly work accurately.
• Ability to recognize visible defects, missing components, incorrect fit, product damage, and other quality concerns.
• Basic computer skills for production entries, barcode scanning, electronic instructions, label printing, or similar transactions.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to report production, quality, equipment, and safety concerns.
• Ability to work cooperatively, accept instruction and coaching, cross-train, and move between assigned production tasks.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to lift and carry materials, components, cartons, or products weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation and appropriate assistance.

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, packaging, appliance, HVAC, plumbing-product, control-panel, metal-product, or electromechanical assembly experience.
• Experience using torque-controlled drivers, drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, crimpers, or similar production tools.
• Experience handling stainless-steel or decorative-finish products.
• Experience performing visual inspections, basic quality checks, barcode scanning, label printing, or production documentation.
• Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, standard work, line balancing, or quality-at-the-source practices.

Schedule

• Day-shift hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
• Specific workdays and overtime expectations were not included in the provided materials.

Compensation

• $18.00 per hour

Work Environment

This position works onsite in an indoor manufacturing environment with production workstations, powered tools, fixtures, material-handling equipment, packaging materials, and adjacent production activity.

Depending on the assigned workstation, employees may encounter moderate or elevated noise, repetitive work, moving materials, metal edges, pinch points, electrical test equipment, water, hot surfaces, cleaning products, and packaging dust. Employees must follow all posted safety procedures and wear assigned personal protective equipment.
